Equator

141|8|3270. 5 17 21 1 20 15 18/Equator: Spread along a circumference measuring 40,007km, it is impossible to see all the seven continents at once, and though there are easier methods of travel whether by fast modes of transportation, or more conveniently by way of television mini series, or virtual reality digital simulations, there are still those who prefer the felt duration of this circular journey to the commodious satisfactions of instantaneous spectacle. Thence they embark on their Homeric journey stepping on the footsteps of their predecessors, navigating the marked shipping lanes in the oceans; and to reduce the strain on their patience, they trickle down their itinerary according to terrestrial phenomena or cosmic events, growing sensitive to fluctuations of various wavelengths, the subtle gradations of light, the breadth of days, the yardage of nights, they pace their journey based on certain benchmarks- they know for instance that for the sun to be directly above their head, between the vernal and autumnal equinoxes, they must have traveled about a quarter of their journey, or similarly between the solstices where the sun is between 47 to 23.5 degrees off the zenith; Encounters that their exclusive features make of them occasions for celebration, when they allow themselves slight deviations- indulging in contrasting seasonal pleasures on either sides, or watching cyclones change the direction of their spin as they move from North to South or South to North. And through all this, with the iterations of events, the emergence of patterns and cycles, the trajectory of time, comes the realization that their journey is a concurring choreography of leaps about a rotational cosmic vessel in its elliptical dance with the sun; ∑Equator= P
